Guest guest
Another fun thing to do is pottery. You can get an inexpensive wheel and just throw tarps over what ever you don't want the clay to get on. Believe me, the first few times, the clay will fly!! Just ask my cats!! I can feel for you, Ken. I have been having a rough patch, myself. I have had to go back on the steroids to get me over this. I haven't left the house in the last few days. Hang in there, Ken. I was watching Extreme Home Makeover yesterday. There was this child who was diagnosed with cancer and was treated at this childrens hospital. She had asked the Home makeover team to redesign the hospital ward she stayed on. Well, they were so touched by her story that they sent a team of designers, painters from Disney, and this child & her family to go to the hospital and redesign it. Well, unbeknownst to her and her family, the other design team was rebuilding a new house for them. Seeing this childs care and love for others made my problems seem so small. I know our own problems are not to be pushed aside. But, it put things into perspective for me. To see a child be so strong through so much and have so much love for everyone. Sometimes it is difficult to see the whole picture. Especially from the vantage point of your own bed when you can't get out of it. There is a reason for everything, I truly believe in that. I often wonder why I have to feel this way, the pain, stiffness, fatigue, depression. I think of Dr. from Lost in Space: " The pain, the pain " . You think he suffered from this pain in the everywhere disease?? LOL <sigh> Well, Ken, you are loved. You have friends. I regret that we live so far away that we can't get together. You are such a hoot online, I can only imagine what you like in person. Take care and know we are all here for each other...love, Marina
