Guest guest
Carla- thanks so much for your words of encouragement, they really did help. Kitty-thank you as well- I do have a cat, and two dogs, and being with them is always a relief from all this. ANd of course all of you who listened to me whine- thanks! OK, so I dont think I necessarily have cancer anymore, but I'll feel best when that is ruled out entirely. THis is a bit redundant- as I said most of this in the " white chunk sister " message. But the gist is, my internist saw the white chunks, looked at them , found them to be in fact normal cells. He is now suggesting I see a dermo-pathologist, dermatolgists who specialize in " headscratchers " and see what they say. They may suggest a biopsy,or not. As to why the white chunks, and why now, who knows? My internist is puzzled, but doesnt want me to lose hope. He deosnt think I have something terrible in terms of life threatening, and he theorizes a biopsy would turn up " non-specific " , which is consistent with what many of you have described. So, no BAD news, just no news, which is to say, status quo. But Im not that discouraged anymore- thanks in big part to your responses. I burst out into tears at the doctors, but not in his office. I had to work real hard to keep it in (had to whisper thank you and shake is hand) and bawled in the hallway for a few seconds (husband was with me through all this, including the " poking and scraping ceremony " )but after letting it all hang out, and talking to my good friend who doesnt have vv but has had really unpleasant gyn surgical procedures, I felt much better. Ahhhh. Hope you all are having a pain and itch free day! And yes, the one day at a time policy really is the only thing that works. -- ==================== Thielke NuMuse Music Kensington, MD ts@... http://www.numuse.com ==================== " Klattu...Burata......Nikto Klattu...Burata......Nikto Klattu...Burata......Nikto "
