What a terrible decision to have to make. I'm sorry you're in this

position. I know he will understand, but that isn't the point. This

is another good reason for insurance reform.

I'm glad you got more affordable insurance. It's to bad that money

dictates our medical care.

a,

This is such an awful thing to have to do. I called the primary and ask

him if there is any insurance he takes. Of course I knew the answer and

there isn't. So Rick's father in law, who is a doctor, helped this morning

and we narrowed it down to two doctor. His suggestion was to call the

stomach doctor and get her input. Ask if she could recommend someone, plus

give her the names of the doctors who he thought were good. I have done

this and waiting to hear. The one doctor who he really liked is know in

her office and the nurse said she is wonderful. So she has a star next to

her name. I hope to mail everything back to the insurance company on

Monday.

You are right we need better health care in this country. This has been

very stressful for me. I feel just awful but I simply can not afford the

insurance I had anymore.

I hope you are feeling well. Did I miss something about your new

grandchild. If I did I am sorry, if I didn't when is the event. Hope all

is well.

I am such a coward, I called him this morning. And he said I had to do

what was best for me. Not what I expected him to say. He told me to think

about everything and make the decision. I went today and got the blood

work done he wanted. I wanted to do that before I got the new insurance.

Thanks for your note, it meant a lot.

Hope you are well!

Lynn, you might be pleasantly surprised on how your doctor takes the news.

I had much the same experience when I changed rheumatologists. I dreaded

telling him since he was my one and only rheumy since diagnosed (20 years).

When I got up the courage, I made an appointment so I could tell him. When

I finished talking, he got up, gave me a big hug and said he fully

understood why I was taking this action. We parted on very good terms and

he only asked that I keep in touch to let him know how I was doing.

Here's hoping you have a similar experience.

Hugs

Hi ,

Forgive me for not answering this right away. I haven't been feeling

well. I am so tired and my knees hurt so bad, this is a first for me with

this kind of pain. Plus I have terrible heartburn, I take prilosec for it

but it is not doing its job. I think I will have to increase it to twice a

day. I don't think this should be happening since I am not suppose to have

any bile in my stomach. I don't understand it.

I took the plunge and changed insurance and doctors. It is one of the

hardest things I have ever done but it didn't make sense to pay for

insurance and not use it. Plus the saving is money I can use for sure. I

have gone to him since I was 15 so it is difficult. I hope and pray we

will still be buddies. We are on the computer, emailing stuff so I will

see if that continues.

Hope you and the kids are well. must be getting ready to be in her

third year. That can not be right. My Laurie took her lslac for law

school and she did well. So I hope this works out for her. She was very

disappointed when the whole U.of P. didn't work out. I think she will make

a good lawyer. So we will see.

Hope you have a good day.
