Hello,

I have been on Enbrel, MTX for over two years now and now added

Predisone (5mg) daily. Enbrel is not working very well anymore and

so I am going for my first infusion of Remicade (Infliximab) on

Tuesday. I will be going to a center at the Ohio State University

Rhuematology dept. I was hoping some of you that have experience

with this medication would share some information on what I might

expect. Of course, I know that everyone is different.

Is the IV in the hand, inside elbow?

Did it take a full two hours or more?

How did you feel during and after?

-I am suppose to go to work afterwards.

-Should I tell them I may not be in depending on how I feel?

Any suggestions on what to do before, during or after to help it go

easier?

I appreciate any information you would like to share.

Sincerely,

Tess H.
