I saw Lee wishing you a birthday greeting on Facebook so I just wanted to echo her wishes and say thanks for giving me the inspiration to start my own solo practice 7 years ago, and allowing me to get my life back. I'm still working on the making enough money part, but I am continuing to make improvements in efficiency and productivity so I think I will get there one day.

Happy Belated-Birthday, Gordon! Today we are celebrating my husband’s birthday. I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I am proud to say that I am from Rochester, NY where Gordon started the whole IMP model. Thank you, Gordon, for being a visionary. I have to tell you something. My husband and I have been patients of Lee since before she became an IMP. Now, it won’t be long and I, too, will officially be an IMP. During a recent discussion with my husband about the problems in health care, he had said he had not noticed some of those issues. My husband is very aware of the health care climate and thought it was interesting he had not shared the same experience as others. I reminded him it is because Dr. Lee is an IMP so we are protected from experiencing some of those issues because of how she practices medicine. Having worked in health care for 14 years I can say that there has been an underlying problem for a long time. It seems that IMPs are stepping out to be leaders in Medicine rather than pawns of the system. Thanks to you, Gordon, for leading the way for this effort. What you have done has set a path for others to follow. Not only am I proud to say I am from where it all began but that I am a part of the mission. We appreciate your vision, dedication and heart for patients. Blessings to you for your birthday and throughout the coming year as you make an impact each day where you are and across the country.
