Guest guest Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 I am having so much trouble with my voice lately. The more I talk, the more hoarse I become. I have to take an extra breath just to get a word out sometimes. Its embarrassing because people keep asking me about it and I used to have such a nice telephone voice. Is this related in any way to RA? I mentioned it to my primary care dr and he listened to my throat and neck area with his steth for a long time. Then he said that he wanted me to have a Caratoid (sp) artery ultra scanned again. This is the second time that I have had this done for him, and there was no blockages. I don't think that there will be any this time. I think that the noise he is hearing is from my throat and has to do with my weak voice. Have any of you had any thing similiar to this?
