Guest guest
Dear group members, I am a new member to this group. I am not a patient or a physician. I am a student in a technical writing course and my assignment is to write the best possible patient brochure on bronchiectasis. One very important aspect of technical writing is to understand the readers and what information is important to them. Thus I am writing to ask for your help. I have a few questions, but feel free to send me comments about any information you received when you were diagnosed with bronchiectasis. 1. Did you receive a patient brochure at the time of your diagnosis? Did the information describe ways to manage your symptoms or was it too technical? Were you given instructions or diagrams on how to clear your lungs? What other information would have been helpful for you? 2. Were you given information that motivated you to relieve your symptoms or were you frustrated by a lack of information? send me your thoughts and many thanks to you in advance! janice payne
