Part of the wait was due to the gap in C1 and 2 and figuring out if I could even have the surgery. Apparently, as long as the neuro gives instructions to the anaesthesitist, the ortho will do it. Waiting times are terrible up here due to so many hospital cutbacks. The patch will probably work better if I put it on my thigh. Don tried to put it on my shoulder but it wouldn't sit flat. It was quite funny when he said, " it won't fit, you don't have enough body in this spot " . I sure miss teaching my med students.
