Guest guest
Hello, I have RA, AS and fibro and since taking Remicaid for my RA which was the first diagnosis in 2003 - I've not had great results with it. Sometimes after an infusion I notice I have significantly less pain but more often than not - the pain is always present. What I know now is the pain I'm still having is from AS which I was just recently diagnosed with. Of course I know that fibro doesn't improve much with Remicaid but my Rheumy said Remicaid is shown to help RA and AS. Just wondered if anyone has AS and RA and have had good results with Remicaid. Also would like to know if anyone with both is taking Enbrel? I don't know if there is much difference between the two meds. I had to postpone my remi and metho for a month while I tried to get better from sinusitis. I could barely get around unless I was so medicated with pain meds I didn't know up from down. Now two weeks after my infusion - I'm having the IBS, uveitis, lower back, shoulder, neck, hips, knees and feet. Also my hands and feet are so swollen in the a.m. - it takes until late afternoon to notice less swelling. Seems like after three years with not even moderate results on Remicaid - maybe I should try Enbrel . . . would LOVE to hear from anyone that has switched. Thanks!
