Guest guest
Dear Sis, I certainly hope that MS is not the diagnosis they come up with for you, but it IS something that can be treated. We really must be related, since when I saw the dr. at IU a few weeks ago, he said he feels that this is one of my problems. A year and a half ago, after a brain scan, the neurologist said that there were lesions that could be early MS, but since then he has said he really wasn't sure, what with all my other problems. The post-polio and Dercum's have similar symptoms. But in the past few months, I have developed new symptoms that would more clearly point to MS, one of them being an intolerance to heat--when I go in the pool and the temp is up in the upper 90's like it usually is, I nearly have to be carried out, and last week Ron had to get a wheelchair to take me back to the car--my legs just would not work. Yesterday I kept stumbling everywhere. It will be part of the big exam I have April 6 to determine if the doctors at Grand Rounds think that I do. Main point, though, is YOU, and whatever the problem I know you will be given the strength to handle it. I'll keep you in my prayers, as always, Judi
