I haven't tried remicade yet; but have tried both enbrel and humira, with

and without methotexate. Maybe remicade is the next thing. They're all pretty

similar, though, aren't they?

Did your pain level change quite a bit on remicade?

Hi, it sounds like you and I have the same main complaints!! Sometimes driving

is painful for me because just pushing on the gas hurts. It is hard for me to

hold the steering wheel too. The only thing that has helped me is I try to stay

as warm as possible, and the remicade is the only med that has helped. Because

of it I almost feel like I have some of my life back. Good luck to you, and I

will be watching the responses too!

[ ] support/ideas needed for hand and foot pain

Good morning,

I am looking for ideas on coping with hand and foot pain. I have discovered

so far that sitting for too long makes things worse, so I stay as active as

possible. I am now having trouble with my grip, though, and am worried about

my

ability to drive a car sometimes. Also, the ball of my feet is very painful

at a constant level.

Some questions for those of you with hand/foot pain

1) If you've had surgery, did the pain improve?

2) Anything you've tried that has helped? I have orthotics, expensive good

shoes and go to PT 3 times a week.

3) Any suggestions for controlling hand pain? I use hot paraffin wax every

day and try to keep my hands warm.

Any strategies would be welcome!

YES! This happens to me, too. Shifting the car hurts because of sore knuckles.

I have one knuckle on one hand that will hurt when nothing else is

swollen...it's kind of my signal that a flare is coming on, because that one

starts first. Also, for the past couple of days it's been hard to press the

brake on the car, or the gas, because the balls of my feet hurt a lot. I've had

to put away the very moderate heels I wear to work, and resort to some

softer-soled shoes.

The Remicade is all I have tried as far as biologics go. My pain level has

dropped SIGNIFICANTLY on the Remicade. And my fatigue too!!
