Guest guest
HI, I also have been using TT Oil with success for about 7 months with my doctor's approval. In addition I accessed the research facility in Australia where they are doing research on TTO. They say it has been reportedly used by many people in Australia with no adverse side affects. They also said they would like to do some controlled studies on TTO used for this purpose but do not have the funding. Lee

Guest guest
I have been using TTO on my 6 year old for 2 years but she has never nebulized it and I would not recommend ding that, although I know some ppl do and havent had a problem with it. I have always put in a potpourri pot or boiling water and just let her be near the vapors and honestly that have worked wonders for her. I believe that it is responsible for eradicating several " bugs " in her lungs. There was nothing else that it could have been. If you are considering trying it I would suggest trying trying to inhale the vapors before nebulizing the oil. chrissi > > HI, > > I also have been using TT Oil with success for about 7 months > with my doctor's approval. Guest guest
Dear Chrissi and Lee, I see no problems with using tea tree oil in the way you have described, but think it may be potentially harmful if inhaled via nebulizer, because this allows the oil to be inhaled directly into the lungs. In essence, this is my concern about lipoid pneumonia (s) that are diffiulct to treat and perhaps not widely known about in " all " medical cycles. A friend with chronic lung disease told me about these pnuemonias. She often read medical journals, and had been a nurse before being forced to give up her work due to her lung problems. Inhaling the vapours through use of potpourri pot or boiling water is safe (in my opinion). When I did inhale tea tree oil in the way that is described (boiling water) my bacteria did not change in that I still have Pseudomonas and Staph a, however my Staph was once resistant, MRSA. Do wonder if the MRSA did convert to regular Staph (more easily treatable) with the help of tea tree oil. Have not had MRSA since August 2003. Interestingly, it was only ever cultured from my lungs, and never found in skin or nasal cultures. MY ID specialist felt that the staph in my lungs had changed to MRSA due to frequent use of antibiotics, but is a catch-22. Fail to treat the and more damage develops, treat them and they may be more at risk for resistant bacterias. Lee, sorry for not replying sooner. Dad and I were busy and my computer is slow these days, and sometimes I try to get on, but its taking a long time. I am waiting for a replacement that a friend is putting together for me. Guest guest
Re putting TTO in the nebulizer, my doctor doesn't even want me to put salt in my nebulizer. He said to put salt in boiling water and inhale it that way. It has been working for me. I use distilled water and put a little salt in the water and then boil it. It's true, isn't it? Everything we do is trial and error. What works for some may not work for another. That's why this site is so important. We can weigh the pros and cons and then make our own decisions. > >Reply-To: bronchiectasis >To: bronchiectasis >Subject: Re: Re: warning about tea tree oil .... >Date: Tue, 15 Aug 2006 15:52:21 -0400 (EDT) > >Dear Chrissi and Lee, > >I see no problems with using tea tree oil in the way >you have described, but think it may be potentially >harmful if inhaled via nebulizer, because this allows >the oil to be inhaled directly into the lungs. Guest guest
Dear , For several months, I have been using TTO via my nebulizer mixed with .09% saline and I really don't know if it helps, but I am having a well period for about 3 months. However, it did not prevent me from contracting Aspergillus so I am a bit discouraged, however perhaps I was not on it long enough. In any event, I feel comfortable taking it and will continue to do so as my plumonary specialist feels ok with it.I find that my nebulizer cup including the vibrating funnel becomes coated with the oil residue even though I consistantly clean it with vinegar and hot water soaks. It does eventually ruin these parts. Has anyone else expierenced this and if so do you have any suggestions on prevention of the build up? Thanks,Eileen-FL-- Holt wrote:Return-Path: <sentto-4056817-13438-1155672008-ecbauer954=juno.com@...>Received: from mx23.nyc.untd.com (mx23.nyc.untd.com [10.140.24.83])by maildeliver02.nyc.untd.com with SMTP id AABCQEM5MAEXLHLJfor (sender <sentto-4056817-13438-1155672008-ecbauer954=juno.com@...>);Tue, 15 Aug 2006 13:32:43 -0700 (PDT)Received: from outbound20-2.nyc.untd.com (localhost [127.0.0.1])by mx23.nyc.untd.com with SMTP id AABCQEM5MABQBRM2for (sender <sentto-4056817-13438-1155672008-ecbauer954=juno.com@...>);Tue, 15 Aug 2006 13:32:43 -0700 (PDT)Received: from n8a.bullet.sc5.yahoo.com (n8a.bullet.sc5.yahoo.com [66.163.187.151])by mx23.nyc.untd.com with SMTP id AABCQEK8NAAMXVCSfor (sender <sentto-4056817-13438-1155672008-ecbauer954=juno.com@...>);Tue, 15 Aug 2006 13:00:12 -0700 (PDT)Comment: DomainKeys?
