Guest guest
Dear Ken: I know how you feel. I have felt like that many times too. I hate to say that. I sound so silly saying those words. However, it is true. Many times I feel the same way you do. We all have our difficulties and the pain we all experience is different to each of us yet very much the same. However, we each have our own set of troubles that are hard to deal with. I am sorry you are so far away and not near friends. Writing to us all was a great thing that you did. I am glad you can express yourself that way. Sometimes I don't and I keep it inside which isn't good. I know it is hard for you to deal with your everyday problems. It is understandable that life is difficult for you in your situation. I am sorry you are having such difficulty right now. Try to find some hobbies or interests that could help you. I try to do that too. I also find some interest in reading the Bible. Not that I am a very religious person. However, I do find some interesting messages in the Bible. Please take care and don't give up. You are loved by many in this group. We all care about you very much. Please keep in touch and write to me. I find you to be a good person and I know many people in this group think very highly of you. Take care. Love, Big Sister

Guest guest
Dear Ken, I'm sorry you are at such a low point. Believe me, I have been there and I know how you're feeling. But what helped me the most was to change my base of thinking and realize that it wasn't an end but a beginning of a new life. I have had to put my old life behind me, and go on as I did when I left home to go to college. There are many avenues you could explore, and many ways you can be a vital, important person (besides entertaining us here with your stories.) I live in a very small town, but we have a public van system that will pick up anyone for free if they need to get somewhere. Do you have a senior center? yeah, I know, you're not a senior, but they usually welcome anyone. The most important thing, however, to remember is just what you said-- that your wife loves you, so don't take that away from her, or from yourself.
