Guest guest
Is there any difference or preference between using Acyclovir and Valtrex? One better than the other? One safer than the other? Any info greatly appreciated.

Guest guest
Simply Valtrex is 6X more bioavailable than acyclovir, so you would have to take many huge pills a day (since they only come in 400 and 800mg) with the acyclovir to get what you can get in two pills for the Valtrex, as the dose is usually 1000-1500mg or more.
