Guest guest
I go to meet with the Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Duke the first of January and I have a feeling that he will indeed suggest release surgery on me. I am starting to loose bladder function and this is the point where the last neurosurgen said they would consider surgery. In the last week however, we received bad news from my mom. Her breast cancer came back after 5 years and she is going to be going thru radiation starting the week after Christmas then Chemo, this will be ongoing for many months perhaps into early summer. My mom is an RN and the one that I would probably count on most to help me after surgery. Now that looks like that wouldn't be the case. I have a long-term BF that would be more than willing to help out, but to put it bluntly: not sure how much " help " I need or to what extent. Can anyone please fill me in on what is to be expected after the surgery once you are sent home? Thanks!
