-I grew up on a farm and Vicks salve was the main salve

in our first aid box. I was prone to pneumonia as a child

and also as an adult and I well remember its potent aroma

and soothing feeling spread on my chest, underneath my arms,

and on the bottom of my feet. Sure kept my nose unstopped and

my breathing a lot smoother. I've never used it for any aches

and muscle pains. Does it work there too?

Warm, snuggly ((((hugs))))))

but if it burns, that is awful. I use Aspercream sometimes, and it

is great cuz it does not smell. I tried odorless Ben Gay and I do

not remember why, but I REALLY hated it. (maybe I missed the smell?

LOL, I do not mind the smell of Ben Gay at all)

insurance and no meds, bordering on suicidal, and totally unable yo

function, dress myself etc from this.

excruatiating even if I did not move at all. Now when it hits,

usually it only hurts if I try to push, so I settle for my mtx and

ibuprofen with occasional aspercream etc.

cuz I do still manifest nearly daily somewhere, and I cannot work. I

am happy with just having pain if I move, dumb a s that might sound

to some people. I have 2 disabled kids and a terminally ill husband

and I use a scooter to get around when my legs, feet flare. When my

hands are useless we watch movies,TV together.

and such pretty good. while my family prefers Aspercream, some days

I prefer Vicks.

Hi there: My name is or Anjillah. I have been using Vicks vapor rub

for years. For my stuffy nose and headaches and my aches and pains. I have

RA, OA, DDD, Spinal Stenosis and several other things. Although I use

Duragesic patches, many times I rub on Vicks and it helps my pain. I have been

using

it for many years. I tell everyone to try it. It does work pretty good.

Sincerely,

Anjillah@...

We always have Vics in the house and use it for stuffy noses, aches etc. It was

always in my parents' home as well. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

, my rheumy has given me a prescription for the duragesic pain patch. I

recall you saying how good it is and I am hoping I get the same good results. Is

there anything you can tell me about the patch that may be a negative? All

other pain meds cause severe itching that keeps me up most nights. Rheumy saw

the scars on my back and thighs caused by my back scratcher which I have been

using rather excessively.

Hugs
