Good idea. Maybe each time you get info. you could let us know what it's

about and we can either " yay " or " nay " as to whether or not we are interested

in receiving it and go from there. Otherwise a person may end up getting

info they are interested in while someone who is very interested has a long

time to wait to see it. Just a thought.

I'm sending a tape about the " Leaky gut Syndrome " which is about how Leaky gut

(everyone with colitis and crones probably has it or anyone with an inflamed

intestine) and how it relates to joint pain (particularly arthritus). It has

some interesting stuff on it and tells how to treat it with diet. I'm sending

it

to Larry Bowers who said he'd make copies so send him your address if you want

it.

I think that Baltimore is about 7 hours from here and Frederick about

the same.

My son lives in DC as does some of our best friends. When and if I can

Who is your GI doc? My son, who is a doctor there, might know him. Just

Hi ,

I am getting to believe that my son and daughter-in-law really would

rather I didn't come up to see them! Todd is on call the first of August and

Jacinda is doing this and that. Todd was the one who asked that we come up

that weekend.

I am so excited that we may be able to meet and discuss all of this --

since you know so very much and I know so little.

As soon as I get the OK from my daughter-in-law I WILL BE THERE with

bells on!!

Are you married? Single? Doesn't matter, just wondered!

I hope I can bring my son who is a doctor and maybe he will learn a lot.

He knows so much about the liver now -- I suspect more than he wanted to

know -- but I think nobody can have ENOUGH info on this crappy disease.

I don't know if I told you or not, but when I had to quit work I was the

Society Editor for our newspaper -- AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! It has

been a few months since I have written a " Muffy " my pen name. A very dear

man whom no one in the community really likes had a cocktail party last

weekend. I had promised him that if and when he had a party I would cover

it. I shouldn't have promised him this. I didn't get to go (I wanted to so

bad) and had one of my friends cover it for me. I have all of the notes and

I just can't seem to be able to do this -- this is so very depressing for

me. I used to put out a GREAT column in an hour and now I can barely get a

sentence out in an hour. I have called one of my friends and hopefully

between my friend, my hubby and myself we can get my column finished! Pray

for me for this one!

I didn't say why the people didn't like the guy I am writing about.

Well, he is very, very rich, but a bit eccentric! I feel so very sorry for

him. His parents and his sister died -- he is from a family that was on

every society list in this area. He is desperately lonely and I cannot help

feel sorry for him. He deserves a great column just like everyone else! That

is why this is so important to me.

I don't know why in the world I am telling you all of this. I guess

because that my life has ended and I miss my work and everything about my

previous life -- it was a very hard, hard and sad life, but it was mine.

Guess that is what has given me the strength to face this pain day in and

day out.

I guess another reason I am so very upset tonight is because of

Kennedy. I just still cannot believe it. I, like everyone in that time,

remember exactly where I was when his father was killed. This is just not

fair -- not at all. This family is very, very religious and have done so

much for so many -- yet they are paid back by all of the horrible things

that have happened to them.

To answer your questions, Yes I am single, never married. I am still

working because I need the insurance, and because even with the hassles, and

politics that go into nursing...I still love my patients. Plus, I'm only in

the early stages of the disease. The biggest problem I have with the disease

(and probably the reason I will be listed much sooner than otherwise) is

because of the chronic infections I get.

A part of your e-mail bothered me, when you said that your life has

ended. It hasn't ended, it's just that another phase of your life has began.

I know it's a hard thing to face, and a very scary one at that...but please

try to be optimistic about it. We are all in this group for a reason...and

that reason is because we are fighters.

You are so right when you say we are all in this together. As I just

posted, I am usually upbeat and smiling -- not what is happening to me now.

I am fighting with all of my might and have for 3 years to beat this

thing! It will be a long, long time before I am put on any list because all

I have at this point is pain! Sick I believe. But then I wonder if I would

take a liver if it were offered to me. There are so very, very many people

who needs a liver a lot more than I do. Many of you are young and have a

full life ahead of you. If only I could help just one person, I would!!
