Guest guest
I would be shocked beyond belief to find consciousness subject to matter. Me, too. :>) As I said previously, I believe consciousness pre-exists matter and expresses through it, rather than arising from it in any way. I can easily accept that consciousness is a field. Discovering how these things "work" may satisfy the human craving to "know" but learning the mechanics of something doesn't create it. It's been there all along and the only reason it seems "new" is that our new knowledge and understanding can now demonstrate in one way or another what has always been. And, of course, there are other ways to "know." What I find interesting the past several days is the "coincidence" of similar subjects showing up on my diverse and multifold mail lists. One subject is the importance of writing clearly and why it's significant and another that seems to apply to this discussion, albeit a bit tangentially, is the following quote from one email I received today: A wise elder once told me, "Grandson, the longest road you will ever have to walk is the sacred journey from your head to your heart." Another elder said, "We will never solve the many critical and life-threatening issues before us solely through the intellect; for every problem the intellect solves it creates ten more." Unto itself the intellect is a sacred gift of the Creator, but, equally, without an open, visionary, and creative heart, there is no wisdom. Both the mind and heart are sacred. Both are inseparably connected. Blissings, Sam Don't believe everything you think. ~ Bumper Sticker

Yeah, I guess great minds run in the same channels. ;>D Blissings, Sam "If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -- Denis Waitley"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." -- Aristotle
Guest guest
From: AnnettevanSun@... CS: Or what if consciousness is a property of matter and only perceptible as such on the subatomic level. This might bring the cons that we perceive as God together with the cons we think of in the human brain. Annette: New frequency wave physics has been discovered ... it's Nobel laureate material although not yet released. It sees through mattter, much like consciousness sees through matter ;-). I would be shocked beyond belief to find consciousness subject to matter. Love AnnetteCS: Remember, Annette, the above statement is only playfulness, looking at things from all directions. I would be shocked too, but I like to look at things from unexpected angles. What I'm thinking about is the psychoid aspect of reality and the idea that there is a consciousness that is not associated with human neurons. Care to tell us a little about the new wave frequency physics? <<<3 Carol
