Guest guest
Mats, This group is quickly becoming a cherished resource. It’s means a lot to me to have such knowledgeable and insightful perspectives at hand. Your comment about having two world views gave me pause to reflect. We all approach this fire from different paths. I visualize a time lapse video of a snowflake forming – no two alike. My path here was governed in large part by the Toltec view of the world as described in Castaneda’s books. I became very adept at becoming conscious in my dreams, and I’ve journeyed through many strange, wondrous, and terrifying realities. Though there is still a regulating force that never came under my conscious control, as Hendrix put it, I could be… “standing next to a mountain; gonna chop it down with the edge of my handâ€. The consummation of this reality with Jung’s vision has never really happened for me. Whereas Jung’s perspective always seems to be that of staring into the unconscious, the perspective of who’s dreaming who sometimes has you staring back from the depths. The second or third time I became conscious in a dream, I could see myself as a glowing skull in a sea of white. All the power of the universe seemed to concentrate in my teeth. It was so intense I couldn’t imagine how or why my teeth didn’t simply explode. I began to feel another intense pressure in the middle of my head and electric wings sprouted out of my temples. The wings began to flap, and as the beating changed from one frequency to another, I was taken on a tour of many different realities that vibrate at a slightly different wavelength than the one we call home. I was as fully conscious as I am right now and was also fully aware that another me was laying on the couch in the living room the entire time. Although I purposely scaled back my dream body excursions so that I could live more fully in this reality, I still journey out every now and then. This group is also providing so much reading material, including your website, that once I finished the hardbound book I’m current reading, I won’t need to purchase another anytime in the foreseeable future.
