Guest guest
Jackie Well, at least you found somebody who would replace the amalgam fillings! They did replace them with composites didn't they? I know that before I even made my appointment, I explained to the dentist, that I wanted the amalgam replaced with composite. I explained WHY I wanted them replaced, because if they weren't going to use composite, I wasn't having the dental work done. I'd just wait until my teeth got bad enough to be pulled, and I'd have them pulled. He agreed... Told me that he would replace the amalgams with composite, if it was possible. I made the appointment, sat in the chair, he took out the old fillings, prepped everything, and then took out the little container and put it on the machine that mixes it. I said, I THOUGHT we were doing composite. He proceeded to tell me there was such a minimal amount of mercury in the " new " stuff, that it didn't matter!... There I sat with the WHOLE upper side of my mouth with all these holes drilled in the teeth... I really had NO choice but to let him put the amalgams back into my mouth! (Oh, the appointment was only supposed to be for one or two teeth, not the whole side at once) Needless to say, He will NOT be seeing me again, and he will NOT be seeing anybody in my immediate family again. [he also screwed up on 's upper denture.. good thing we didn't order lower at the same time.. $926.. out of our pocket for dentures that don't fit right! and he keeps telling that it's not the dentures?] Anyway, I think I've helped him lose a few more patients besides us. He's lost the family that recommended us to him (2 adults, and 2 little ones with teeth just coming in.. LOL). As well as other members of the extended family. I hope that he realizes his blunder... he screwed with the wrong patient.. LOL.. and my gift of gab goes on and on and on.. just like the energizer bunny. And I'm not afraid to tell people why I won't be visiting him again.
