Hi Jackie,

I had a LONG wait, so be prepared, it is normal.

I filed immediately, was denied 2 times then finally was approved. All of

this took 1 1/2 years.

The best choice you made was to get an atty.

A phone interview, I'm not sure what this is going to entail, sorry I can't

answer this for you.

Jackie~

I made my initial application for SSDI on Sept 11. Then I was

scheduled for phone interview on Sept 25. They had given me a form

to fill out so I would have all of the necessary information

available for the phone call. It basically covered my symptoms, how

they affected by ability to work, my work experience, and my medical

hustory. Then I was sent a packet of forms to fill out with most of

the same information. I mailed it in on October 3. I got a letter

saying they had recieved it and that most claims take an average of

120 days for a decision.

On Dec 7 I got a letter saying that I had an appointment with a

doctor I had never met for an impartial medical evaluation. I have

no idea how that went. She asked a few questions, scribbled some

notes and said she would send in her report.

So now I am waiting.
