yes i was driving around covington, and looked for his car as usual

(humble man, indeed) in front of office covered in trees. i saw his

car and took a chance to knock and check on him. he is well, along

with wife and family. very happy to reconnect (mutual). seems

times like these all are in same boat. he looked just as frazzled

as all of us. had a good chat. he said to send you his blessings

and regards. would love to connect with you if you wish. said you

had mutual friend in Darrell Sharp? said many were asking for his

second version of DIVINE TEMPEST. he laughed and said, it is all in

the first one. no need for a " second version. "

he was very concerned about his practice - he had missed three

weeks, but more he was concerned about his fellow analysts, such as

Battle Bell, etc., in New Orleans (some are friends of mine in new

orleans too) - who not only have no clientele, but no

*place*****....continue to realize more of the effects daily - and

how many of all class and race and status are displaced in more ways

than just homes (which is enough in itself...)

hope we get our poetry readings up and going. remember last reading

we had a near hit, but didn't hit, so he and other regulars read

their " hurricane " poems - now we can't even get together to read

them....but when we do, it will be quite an experience, i believe.

i have a hunch to film david interview him on his thoughts about how

our society, world, people can cope in such a time. perhaps he can

help us all, even in his layman's simplicity (he is known for his

clarity and humility - though loves a good laugh at our own " complex

awareness " - never get completely rid of them, you know, so best to

laugh...) - he can reach millions around the world and help us

understand the psychic dynamics of the " internal tempest.... " , no?

don't you think that is a good idea? i would love to see him

talking around the country. we could all use the " meaningful " take

on this whole event. gives hope.

p.s. have been in california/s.f. area for two days - have made good

connections - though still nothing " definite... " as far as money

goes. otherwise wonderfully profound synchronicities and people,

not to mention old friends, who want to help. i have faith and hope

more than ever.

just found out that he is safe n so are most of the NO analysts -

most evacuated ahead but unable to go back n their training prog is

kaput.
