Guest guest
Mike Dickman writes me: "The primordial sound in Sanskrit (and in Tibetan) is A (short, Italianate), not AH (long and aspirated - the way most Brits would pronounce the letter R) and certainly not AAAHHHH which is another idea altogether... It's very closely related to the Hebrew/Arabic Aleph/Alif as the first sound uttered. In that they shape the form of the vowels, consonants are litterally called "clarifiers" or "manifesters" in both Sanskrit and Tibetan. Many of the early Hermetic and Gnostic 'mantras' (for want of a better name) were simple sequences of vowel sounds." To which I add: They (vowels)correspond to the chakras. This why Sanskrit, Hebrew, Latin are among the 'sacred' languages. The R.C. mass lost some of its hidden power wh it quit Latin. When a monastery decided to cut back on Gregorian chants, the monks discovered they lost energy! [brain/Mind Bulletin] love ao
