Guest guest
Hi Gerald...I am familiar with using humor to raise the endorphins in ones body. Endorphins act as pain relievers and are also useful in fighting depression. Several years ago there was a book out (I can't remember the author) about this subject. The author was diagnosed with some disease (can't remember that either) and started watching old slap-stick comedies for their benefit of humor on the body. I sure wish I could remember more about that book...my memory sucks due to my CRS (Can't Remember S**t) disease and old age. LOL...any way...I am glad you have found a place where you feel welcomed and cared about. We do understand each other in a way that others can't. It is true that you can't really understand where another is coming from unless you have walked a mile in his shoes. Or perhaps that should be " hobbled " in his shoes. Goodnight all...sweet dreams and restful sleep. I mean wow it's so refreshing to talk to someone who realy understands the feelings I have had for a little over 17 years. I know other who may sympathize but you can't ever get them to realy understand the way I feel every day. I find humor has a good way of getting my mind off the pain. I suppose thats why I mainly like a good comedy movie or citcom. I just wonder if anyone else feels the same way about movies. I have heard that the human body lets out endorfins when your happy that make you feel better, has anyone else ever heard of this?
