[ ] Angel Cream Biscuits/Apple Dumplings/Chocolate Zucchini Bread ANGEL CREAM BISCUITS 1 package quick active dry yeast 1/4 cup warm water (105° to 115°) 1 tablespoon sugar 2 cups Original bisquick® 1/4 cup half-and-half Dissolve yeast in warm water in medium bowl. Stir in sugar, Bisquick, and half-and-half until dough forms. Turn dough onto surface generously dusted with Bisquick; gently roll in baking mix to coat. Shape into ball; knead 10 times and roll 1/2 inch thick then cut with 2-inch cutter dipped in Bisquick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and cover and let rise in warm place about 30 minutes or until soft and puffed. Heat oven to 425° and bake 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Heat oven to 450°. Bake 7-9 min Makes 12 biscuits APPLE DUMPLINGS Blend together;3 cups flour3 heaping tsp. shortening3 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. salt.Add enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll out dough into a 12 " square, 1/2 at a time. Cut square into 4 equal pieces. In each square, place 1/4 to 1/2 of an apple, sliced. Top with some sugar, dash of cinnamon and a dot of butter. Fold up corners and seal. Place dumplings in a 9x13 " greased pan, with sealed side down. Pour syrup over dumplings. Bake at 350º F. until browned, basting occasionaly. Syrup: Heat together 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup oleo, 2 cups water and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Heat until oleo is melted. Makes 8 dumplings. CHOCOLATE ZUCCHINI BREAD (GREAT GIFT) 1 tsp. oleo1 oz. unsweetened chocolate1/2 c. oil1 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped almonds1 c. finely grated unpeeled zucchini1/4 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. soda1/2 cinnamon1-1/2 c. flour1/2 tsp. salt Over low heat melt butter and chocolate. Combine oil, eggs and sugar, beat well. Stir in vanilla, melted chocolate, almonds and zucchini. Sift together dry ingredients add to zucchini mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan. Bake on middle rack of 350 degree oven about 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick test done. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
