Guest guest
Yes they can see you. You can "probably" order labs and meds, but maybe not CT scans, etc. The company might be willing to help you get on network, but be sure that the fee schedule doesn't reduce your payment too low. Regards, Matt from Western PA loss of patients The factory 3 doors away from me switched to an insurance I dont take! It's been a fast lesson in what an EPO is, as it basically forbids patient to see anyone out of network. From a rough search while I'm home sick with cold turned sinus infection it looks like I will loose at least 7% of my practice. (of course I may get them back in a year since this company changes yearly!) So my question is it really legal for them to say the patient can't pay me out of pocket? Some are asking. My fear then is that referrals, labs and tests will not be paid for. I asked the company to post a flyer since many would schedule, see me then I would go to collect the co-pay at the end of visit and find out they are on a new card! I had at least one person in tears since I take care of her home bound dad who retired from the company.
Guest guest
yeah the same here Way stressful They can see you and you give them a PATOS discount but if there is no reimbursement at all well people have to choose care/service/someone they know vs money and they usually choose money quite naturally- unless you want to get credentailed with that payer. All you can do is hope some other employer switches TO something you take or as you say that next yr the switch goes back . I began my day with a person yelling at me " That is a choice you make ! " she said becausie I charged for records---12.00-- as she moves away The practice she works in charges the same but she made sure to tell me I was the only one in the country who charges For a service. sigh I do make a choice --to feed my family Cripes I cannotimagine telling soemone they make a choice when they bill me for a service I ask for Money is such a pain eh? Sorry MYria! Yes they can see you.
