Guest guest Posted July 9, 1999 Report Share Posted July 9, 1999 I'm on a roll here and thought I'd also comment on the people who leave their diagnosis and time post-op on their mail to this site. (a few days late, sorry) Until someone had spoken about this -- I've read so much mail, I can't remember who, but I appreciate that this was brought up. Anyway, until then, I didn't have an opinion. Now, I do: As a new member, I appreciate seeing this information -- it tells me we are a varied group. As a parent, I also look for other parents of ACM's. Since my son is just beginning his " journey " through the ACM " jungle " of misinformed docs, I look for some of the " veterans " who might be willing to take me under their wings. On the other hand, as someone who is a tad introverted when it comes to crowds, I am often hesitant to leave the same info about myself. Though I will now try to remember to add that I am the mom of a young adult who is just starting to deal with his ACM. I am also sure some other parent would like to talk to someone else about their concerns if they have someone who is learning disabled and " high functioning MR " -- the most current " label. So if you have wrote to me on list and I have not replied this is why. Not ignoring anyone.. Also welcome Kathleen I did not get your email to the group.Hopefully yahoo is just running behind in delivering emails. In any event I wanted to let all of you know.
