Guest guest
Hey Everyone, Besides just at home, where will you be tomorrow? Most of us know we'll still be battling pain, but ya know, we made it through another whole YEAR! Surely we can make through another day. One day at a time. What are some things we can do to make our lives better, more peaceful, more livable starting tomorrow? For me, I plan to do better with my finances, to write everything down in my check book as soon as the transaction is made, not to stuff receipts in my checkbook or wallet until later. This is how I miss writing things down and then of course I wind up with a $35 bank charge for insufficient funds. Yikes, $35 I know, steep! But that is the price I pay. I've had this problem ever since becoming sick 12 yrs ago. Imagine how much money I could have saved? And that will be my next step, open a savings account to put all this money I will save. lol I'm going to go back through bank statements and see just how much money I spent on insufficient fund charges, I will probably pass out. lol After all of this is accomplished, I'm going to get back into my crafts! I can paint figurines and such and make wreaths. I will start making things for next Christmas beginning in March! I'm sure many of you have crafty things you can do too. We don't have a lot else to do as we sit in pain each day? Why not be productive during that time? Hugs and Love to you all, Tommie ~Tommie~
Guest guest
Tommis, Why not do online banking? I have been doing it for yrs and i love it, plus i use my savings acct as an over-draft protection, so NO more bounced checks. I have only bounced one and that over charge was enough to make me a whole lot more cautious. I will be at work when the clock strikes midnight...but we will have food/apple cider.Plus making time and 1/2 AND i will be safely inside...so i guess i'm okay with that. Guest guest
We are starting off this year on a bit of a scary note. Randy (my husband) had to stop driving his truck a couple months ago to have laser surgery and injections in his left eye after being diagnosed with macular degeneration. After a couple months of treatment, we now know that he won't be able to drive again because of the deteriation of his vision. With him unable to work and me not working because of my back and neck pain, we are pretty unsure of what will happen right now. I tried for disability a year ago and was denied, so now we will be getting a lawyer and trying again. In the mean time, I picked up my knitting needles again and started working. I now have a couple sweaters and about a dozen pairs of socks along with a couple scarfs done. The plan is to get an E-bay business up and going and possibly start an online business that I can take orders on. While it won't pay the rent, it will at least help. Meanwhile I need to get medical started so I can get back into the doctor. I was going to a pain clinic before we lost our insurance when Randy had to stop work and was getting ready to try something new after the steroid shots for the back didn't take affect. Now that we don't have anything coming in, I don't even want to take the chance on going in for a follow up. I've been lucky that my regular doctor has been refilling all my meds without an appointment. Well, that about sums up my situation for starting the new year out. Sorry its so depressing! Guest guest
Hi Peg, Goodness, you sure aren't faced with a very bright New Year Hugs! I'm so sorry to hear of your hardship. Things always work out some how. I'm terribly sorry to hear about Randy. A friend of mine who lives in Canada, her mother has Macular Degeneration. She is an older lady though, like in her early 80's. I didn't realize it hit people young. I don't know how old Randy is, but I assume he isn't even at retirement age if he is still working. An Ebay business would sure help you out some. You will come through this with flying colors. Randy should be able to get his disability without any problem. I know things will be hard for you, but you must maintain your dr's visits if possible as Social Security really depends on those to evaluate our cases. And if you have no paper trail, they have nothing to look at. Just a bit of info there. Good luck to you and God bless you and your family. Hugs, Tommie Re: Where will you be tomorrow????
