In this day and age of PPS, lay offs, companies going bankrupt, etc., are

there not far more important things to worry about than someone copying a

lousy form? If the company does not want the form copied, get a copyright

on it. However, even then, all someone need do is change one word, or one

line on it. If this PT was there for over 8 years, did he/she not have

input on the development of the form? At any rate, the form should be the

least of your worries these days. Get serious.

Hi group....Have a PT leaving our private practice after eight years to join

another PT in a start-up operation. Have any of you a form or letter you use

on exit interview making the PT sign some statement that forms we developed

over the years and office procedures cannot be replicated and are the

" property " of our facility. I'm afraid all of our hard work will just be

handed to some new PT practice.

We had the PT sign a confidentiality form when he was hired, but it's more

along the line of patient information and doesn't specifically cover our

policies and procedures. Help please!

Chris

You need to do what corporate America does ... show them the door THAT

DAY,collect their key, and change the locks ... that may seem a little

drastic, but every hour they stay on after they have told you of their plans

is an hour they are working on their new job ... you can still pay them

whatever you owe them, but get them out of your office! And yes this is

serious and yes you need to worry, that is why you need to cut off their

access to your computer, files, forms, databases etc. The relationship

changes the moment they tell you they are leaving ...

Town, PT
