I didn't get the info from a Dr. so don't take it to heart. A friend of mine has

a ruptured disc in her back and I was turning to get her to get a referral to my

PM Dr. so she could get a block or epidural. And she told me they caused scar

tissue.

I have the very same problem with my shoulder and armpit. it just doesn't want

to move.

I like Stryker Mom have had injections in my shoulder several times. And if

the cause is your shoulder they do help. but in my case it was coming from my

neck. so it took a epidural. Has anyone heard that the epidurals and blocks to

your spine or in the disc can cause scar tissue?

I'm beginning to think that maybe the knee and shoulder problems I am having are

both from the Fibromyalgia. I still think I'll get the trigger point injections

as this pain in all of the above has gone on long enough!

Tommie, I had such several pain in my lt arm this fall. I have had 2 epidurals

in my neck. I had almost lost the use of my hand. " I am lt handed " . so that

surely wasn't good. But if that pain comes back like I had it this fall you can

bet I will be begging for another epidural and will just take my chances. My

friend that told me this is a nurse. we used to work together. and she does have

a ruptured lumbar disc. But I don't think her pain has gotten bad enough or else

she would be doing something about it.

I sure hope it doesn't again. I went to the Dr with no make up or anything. I

was hurting so bad I didn't care. and I usually don't go out of the house

without my make up.

Now that's bad when you don't put your face on. But with our luck with docs,

they may just think we are depressed or we are putting on the show for them. Who

knows what they think. I just think of all the uglies they could think and they

probably don't. lol

Was it your PMdoc or PCP you went to?

that is true. but he knows how I usually come for my visits. And I was a long

shot from it that day. and begging him for help. I think he took me for real.

that is when he put me on the Morphine Sulfate cR and the percocet for

breakthough pain.

I'm glad he took you seriously. I think that when we have a new pain doc we have

to build a rapport before they will really help us. They are so leery and I

don't blame them, it's the druggies I blame. Everyday we pay the price in some

way, shape or form, for what dishonest people have done. Just think about it.

There is always some extra step we have to take, extra form or ID, something

that we have to do, that we wouldn't otherwise have to, if people weren't so

dishonest.

I know exactly what you mean. And when you go get your script filled the first

thing they do is go and see if your name is in the book.

I was at my PM Dr. one day and he got a call where someone was Dr. hopping and

getting meds from Different Dr's and different drug stores. Boy, he didn't take

kindly to that at all. he told his tech to take the necessary steps to

prosecute. That person messed up big time. But they are also the ones that make

it hard on us.

I agree, they should be punished. I wish they'd stop! I'm glad your doc took
