Dawn, I have had numerous blocks and epidurals. yes, it is normal to have some

pain afterwards. I have seen people in the outpatient that were doing great and

having no pain at all. but unfortunately I have never been one of them. try to

keep you movement limited and alternate ice and hot packs. for the blocks and

epidural the ice actually help me more. Because I have always been sore after

ever block. Hope this helps. Where did you have the block?

re: pain blocks and trigger point injections

Has anyone had experience with pain blocks and trigger point injections?

I had a pain block about 4 days ago and Man, do I hurt! I'm supposed to

go in 2 weeks for trigger point injections and I'm not so sure I want

to go thru it again. I was told there wouldn't be a rebound after this

and also was told that the pain block was a one time thing.

Is it normal to hurt as bad after a pain block?

Any comments are welcome.
