Guest guest
Hi, So far I do not have diabetes, I am lucky. What I was told was by having the surgery my chances are much greater to develop it. Additional worry for me is my grandmother died from diabetes. Guest guest
Well, Lynn, if you do get it, I can refer you to a good diabetes mailing list or two. At least you can do things to control diabetes, unlike RA. It's not always easy to do these things, but they are doable. You should get checked for diabetes periodically because it can sneak up on you. I already had neuropathy in my toes when diagnosed, but with good control it has gone away. Guest guest
Thanks for your suggestions, I will keep them in mind. My primary doesn't feel diabetes should be an issue, as they took the tail of the pancreas. My understanding is that the tail doesn't do to much. Sure hope he is right.
