When asked my relation to the patient I foolishly answered friend. I got completely stone walled. Sorry you have to be related! Now she has no living relatives. Never had children and her siblings are all gone. Grrrr. Rita who hates to see someone all alone needlessly. Of course I am sure she is getting loads of attention but that is not the same as a friend could provide. I had in mind litterally just to hold her hand. I suspect she may well be unconscious.
