Guest guest
Hey Group, I have been thinking of 's post and remembering others that have been on this board in the past that were told thier original diagnosis was incorrect. Until I came to this board I did not realize that there was so much guessing going on when diagnosing lung disease. I have never heard of any other illness that is so often misdiagnosed and mistreated. Had I known this early on, I would have been freaked out!!! I thought the docs knew exactly what they were talking about. I did notice that different docs had opposing ideas as to treatment and even that is disconcerting. In the past year, I have seen my own pulmonary doc, a consult pulmonary doc and the lung transplant pulmonary doc. They all suggest different meds and treatment. Why isn't there an agreement as to treatment? All of us here are told different methods of treatment....all the way from nothing to many, many meds. Odd! The information that we share here is so useful and may help save our own lives and that of others. It would be good if docs would read and learn...at least they would have some idea of the terror that this dianosis involves. They would see the frustration when we are told one thing then another. They maybe would be more sympathetic to our suffering. Most don't have time to even listen when we go in, let alone time to read our ranting. Sure leaves a body feeling lost, huh?
