Guest guest
Heidi, welcome to the group. My doctor never told me I had fibromyalgia until about 3 months after going to her. She did all the blood work, but she gave me something for pain and then also an antidepressant to help me sleep at night. I think if I were you, I would definetely get another doctor, they could have at least given you that much. Sorry your having to go through all this, but doctors seem to think we know what we have and will keep us in the dark and we have to beg for information. And by the way, when you go back to your doctor make sure you get your results in writing to get you a copy. I have found that helpful at times also. hugs, Lianne hmsclmyboy@... wrote: I am new here and have just been pre diagnosed. My dr. wants to wait a month and check again. In the mean time I am to try to sleep better and take tylonal for pain.(well duh I have been trying to sleep and take tylonal to try to survive) I am hoping to find a dr that specializes in Fibromyalgia in the seattle area. Just wanted to say hi and that I look forward to getting to know you all better. Heidi 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone.
