Guest guest
Hello Keliz! I'm happy to hear your rain went away, now if your body will calm down too Hugs, I'm so sorry you are doing so bad there still. I'm in the same boat with you, do you have an oar? I seem to have lost mine Oh goodness and a miserable cold too? That really bites. Do you have any of, oh darn, what's it called? Ummm it starts with a Z and it's a holistic med that you get OTC, you put it in your nose and it makes a cold go away MUCH faster. I use to have some and it expired on me. Darn it! I'm sure if you ask your Pharmacist he'll know what I'm talking about. It's a nose spray. Sheesh, darn fibro fog. It's got me good today! Anyway, see if you can get some of that. lol If you can figure out the name of it. Watch it not even start with a Z. lol It was sure nice of your hubby to go and get KFC for you last night. Danny cooked last night, we had hamburgers. I cooked the night before. I'm so glad he'll cook some. He has his health issues too. Pancreatitis, chronic, so he hurts too. He goes into flare up's, not in total pain all the time. But there are many times it will last a couple of months and be very severe. WOW, he did grocery shopping too! How awesome is that? lol I tell you the best turkey I've ever put in my mouth is a deep fried turkey. The VERY best ever! I want one of those fryers. The peanut oil is the expense in frying a turkey. But you can use it over and over again. It's not like using regular Canola oil. But gosh, it's like $24 for a huge bottle, and that's what it takes to fill a deep fryer for a turkey. I think you have some of it left, but not much, after filling the fryer. MY brother in law made us one of those a few years ago and it's the only one I've ever had, but I sure would have liked to have had a couple of them to debone and freeze. Now they live in another State, so I can't get a fried turkey again. I might be able to if we planned it and I went to Kansas to visit and he cooked them for me. I'd just bring them back in an ice chest and then freeze them. I miss him not living in town. lol He's an excellent cook. He's a hunter too, so we use to get nice fish fries and deer meat too. I didn't really care much for the deer meat, I could take it or leave it. It depends on the cut of meat as to whether I like it or not and then of course how it's cooked. Danny, my fiancee', doesn't hunt or anything. He doesn't even like fish. He does like to fish sometimes, but he's not the sportsman that Mike is. I wish he were though. lol Ok, I'm rambling now. I do that a lot as you know lol I too met Beck yesterday in the chat room. We chatted a bit, then Java locked up on me and I had to turn my computer off to even get out of there. I couldn't even close the webpage. And yes Gayla had a message beside her name then, " sleeping " . lol I've not caught her in there yet, awake that is. It either says " sleeping " or " napping " . She must sleep a lot in the day time. Yes, I'm talking about you Gayla. lol Beck told me some interesting stories about you yesterday!! ;-) LOL J/k, she really didn't. She only said, you are a very nice lady. And very talented and creative! But you won't admit it. Too modest, is what it sounds like to me. lol Thank you Gayla, for inviting us to your chat room and letting us use it. It's very nice of you. Now if I can only catch you there. And if Java will cooperate! Ok, I'm going to end this saga for now! You all have a great day and for those of you hurting today, I wish and pray for your pain to ease up so you can enjoy this day. Hugs, love and prayers for you all! Tommie Another day Hi Everyone. The good news is the rain went away. The bad news is my pain is STILL here and on top of it I am catching a cold. Oh well, we have to survive the good days with the bad. My hubby didnt cook dinner last night but he did go out for KFC. He also did a little grocery shopping as we are smoking a turkey today. He got a smoker from his parents and we are setting it up for its maiden voyage! A 10 lb turkey will last us awhile. Good thing there is alot you can do with turkey, lol! Gayle, I keep seeing your avatar in the chat room but when I am there you are always asleep, LOL. I did have a nice chat with Beck the other day, so thank you for inviting me to chat. Thank you Tommie for all your kind words. Yes, if I didnt have this room I dont know what I would do. Everyone understands and thats a he** of a lot more than we get from outsiders. My parents dont even understand and my dad is a pharmacist and my mom is a nurse! They are of the " grit your teeth and deal with it " era. So I dont even mention it to them. I used to work in a pharmacy for about 10+ years and you would not believe what the employees would say about chronic painers. I went horse telling them it was a real affliction. I, of course, was one of the CP'ers. Even " professionals " can be mean. I am lucky my pain MD understands me and doesnt think I am trying to pull one over on him. Bless him. If I need my BT meds early, he always gives them to me. Thats how I have an emergency supply. And he knows I have it, so I am being totally honest with him. That is the key to a good relationship with him. Ah well Im rambling, so thank you kind friends for all of your support and hugs, luv keliz
Guest guest
Keliz - I noticed that I keep missing you in the chat room. I don't sleep well, so I am on and off in bed...I wished I could pass out some sort of schedule I keep, but frankly, I don't have a schedule. I sleep when I can and am in the computer the rest of the time - excpet during american idol and greys anatomy - LOL! We have your rain, and I caught your pain! just kidding - But the pain intensified as that rain came in last night. Therefore, I was up and down all night long. It literally was a pain in the neck, and shoulders, and right arm, and lower back....that is only funny if your not in pain right now! So, now I am heading back to bed again! Hugs to all! Guest guest
Tommie - I'm feeling paranoid! Becky is great and I love her...we gotta convince her to join this email group though!~ She is pretty busy, but she would enjoy it. I sleep really confusing hours...it's like 2 hours sleep, 2 hours up, 2 hours sleep, 2 hours up. I hope at sometime things will work out so I am up more. Part of the reason I have to lay down is to keep the swelling out of my legs. Then, of course, I get warm and cozy and doze off...sleeping until who knows what time...next thing I know I have my days and nights mixed up. I'll try to get it straightend out when I get that CPAP machine in! Gayla http://chronicpain-byladyfrog.com Another day Hi Everyone. The good news is the rain went away. Guest guest
Gayla, don't feel paranoid!! I was only teasing you!! We would never say a bad thing about you! Maybe I shouldn't have said that I'm sorry. But please know it was only a joke! And forgive me? Yes, we should convince her to join this group. I'll sure try when I see her again. Won't you send her an invite from the group? There is a place on the home page of the group to send an invite. Give it a try, tell her all of us want her to join! I should be laying down more than I do. My legs/feet/ankles all swell from we don't know what. Granted they don't get as big as yours, but some days they feel as if they will pop. And they literally can! It's scary. We don't even know what the swelling is from, but the only thing that takes them down is elevation and then it only comes back after sitting with my feet on the floor for about 4 hrs. I blame the Morphine. At least it started when I went on the Morphine last April and hasn't let up since. My pain doc is in the process of ruling out this and that. I've gotten 4 different opinions from 4 different docs. One says it's the Apnea, another says it's poor circulation, another say's it's the Neurontin, another says it comes with age. One doc even changed from it being poor circulation to the Apnea and that is my Cardiologist. These are all specialists I'm dealing with here. I'm tired of the run around, no one knows what is causing it, and I want them to figure it out and fix it! I shouldn't have to just live with this. When I mentioned the Morphine to my pain doc, he blamed the Neurontin and weaned me off it and still the swelling is still here and now my Neuropathy isn't being treated. I see him the 4th so we'll see where he goes from here. I know he is going to put me on Lyrica to treat the Neuropathy, he already told me that. It took 6 wks to come off the Neurontin. I was on 600mg 3x's a day, and we took it down 100mg per week. Thankfully the symptoms of the Neuropathy didn't start rearing it's ugly face until the end of the 4th week. It's all in my feet, the Neuropathy. They are so very sensitive and burn, hurt, feel like I've cut them sometimes in different areas. This was caused from a car wreck I had in 2000. I injured my feet and ankles really bad. Broke one foot in 4 places. When will you get your new machine? I hope it's soon. I know you will feel better once you have it. I need to learn to communicate with less words. lol I always seem to write a book. At least you all read what I type, I sure hope so. lol You seem to. lol Have a nice day!
