Yeah. It is good to see somebody else fed up with the chain stores who are

disrespectful to the handicapped. I want to rant about my SSDI. Finally, I

received a letter stating my SSDI was granted. So, I took the letter to my

doctor's office so he could put a copy in my medical chart since he is always so

worried about getting busted for prescribing Lortab to me. My best friend who

had accomplied me (as a witness to my visit with my doctor, he seems to behave

better when I take a witness with me) asked the clinic's advocate to make a copy

for my chart. This lady went off on us, ranting and raving. She said the clinic

would take all my back SSDI pay to pay for my visits and meds since I had gotten

a reduced fee for being unemployable. I cracked up... and said ~ get in line

behind my lawyer, IRS, my case manager at the Department of Human Services (food

stamps). I mean seriously, do they really think I can get blood from a turnip?

Hi guys,

I just had to vent a lil bit. I dont ever want to go back to walmart

again after shopping there on the 26th. dennis got a gift card from

my mom and step dad for xmas...bought a surround sound thing brought

it home all excited and it didnt work. Not to mention it scratched a

dvd of ours. He asked if i wanted to go cause my mom also gave us a

lil cash so we could buy a few things and get myself a few pairs of

pants i could actually wear (like i did) and what a pure and utter

fiasco. Their customer service is GARBAGE...their reps do not know

what theyre doing and rude too. I have hated walmart so much in past

but was almost forced to go there cause their prices are so low and

are basically made for us on a fixed income ect....not to mention

their business practices are imhumane to say the least. They make me

SICK!!!!!

When we brought back the surround sound thing everything went ok....we

walked around (they didnt have a scooter avail and didnt even have any

disability parking) i reported that there were ppl parked in disabled

parking with no tags and this snotty lil girls remark was ''well we

are just too busy to deal with that right now''. I said that if they

cared about their customers they would handle this and id be emailing

and contacting corporate with her name and report her.

We did our shopping and also got some groceries. It was probably 2

hours before we could get out of there and i was of course exhausted

and hurting. When we went to use the gift card they gave us for

return it wasnt working. She said it was the system but shed call over

the asst mgr. When she came over and couldnt get it to work she shook

her head with attitude and said well i guess you cant use and tried to

walk away......i raised my voice and said no excuse me...if you are

going to speak with my in THAT tone and be rude with ME after we

returned an item YOU sold us that didnt work you need to get YOUR

superior over here to speak with me. I apologized to the ppl

waiting behind me, a very nice couple that said dont worry about it,

these ppl dont know what theyre doing, we always have problems and you

get a mgr over here sweetie.

Her manager came over and while she was nice she said well im sorry i

guess you cannot use it. I said again as my blood boiled no that is

NOT acceptable.. .here is the receipt the rep over there gave us

(pointing to her) after we returned an item you sold us that did not

work...can you just give me the 70.00 in cash so i can give to cashier

and get out of this horrible store.

She told me there was no way to verify what was on the card and we

couldnt use it today. I said i will NOT be dealt with in this

manner, im disabled, there is never enough scooters or parking and i

spent all this time and also money. look at the receipt and it will

show you the card # as well as amt and it was for a return.

Finally after some arguing she finally did what i asked and typed in

the amount and we paid the rest on debit, i apologized again to the

nice couple behind us who also told the mgr to do her job lol and we

walked outta there so mad. if i didnt have a cart filled with

groceries, the gifts dennis bought for himself from my moms card i

would have asked for my cash back and told them id never go back

again....

I really hate that so many family owned businesses and smaller

businesses are goin out of business cause of walmart and there

practices are just not humane and they seem to not care about the

customer. sorry to vent but you all understand trying to get around

in store in our painful situations but to be talked to rudely....oh

nooooo ur not gonna to me lol.

Their prices are good and i will probably have to go back to shop from

time to time but ill never go back as much as i used to. it just isnt

worth me spending what lil money i do have to be treated like

that...id rather go and spend a lil bit more if i can to piggly wiggly

for groceries and then to this awesome store i found here called

''value city'' they are always so nice, say hello and come to me and

ask me if i need any help which i appreciate. at walmart they just

assume walk past you and bump into you (ive had this happen to me

before)

come to find out the day after i had cnn on and it was something in

their system and many ppl in diff states were turned away without

being able to spend their gift cards they got as gifts...didnt they

know so many would be coming to spend their xmas money the day after??

Hello,

I know what you mean about Wal*mart. I worked for them for three months. It was

ok at the start, but then I couldn't get along with one of my co-workers. I was

also getting frustred with my supervisor who to seemed to me wanted me to work

more hours than I should. I had transportatin that could pick me up certain

hours each day and she couldnot understand why my schedule had to be the way it

was. I also had a new manager that came on just after I started that treated me

like crap. I was real sacred to even to speak to him. To top it all of I was

having trouble with my health and all the stress I had there made me due to dr's

orders I had to resign.
