My mom went into the hospital in March and never came out. She died on June 7 after having both of her legs cut off. It was a bad year. I have multiple chronic illnesses from the Gulf war in 1991. I have rheumatoid arthritis(severe), first diagnosed as lupus, fibromyalgia, degenerating discs, ulcerative colitis from Gulf war, hypertension, neurogenic bladder, anxiety, diabetes 2( from prednisone in 2000), Gerd, heck , you name it , i have it. I enrolled in college to get out of the house. I take arava and plaquenil but it doesnt do anything. I take hydrocodone 7.5/650 every 4 hours. i have severe pain and joint stiffness all day. The VA rheumatologist only sees you every 6 months and i see him tuesday finally. it was cruel to go so long without seeing a rheumatologist. i look forward to chatting with the people from before and meeting all the new people here. in Orlando A Persian Gulf vet-USAF , proud to serve America is no 1 thanks to its veterans!
