Guest guest Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 Hi All, My Name is Rick and I have been diagnosed this month(Sep 06) with UIP(Usual Intersitial Pneumonia) which is a PF. I am 27year old. I had symptoms from last 9 months. I had all kind if test done like blood test, lung function test,ct scan, lung biopsy. Its very hard for me to know that I have this disease as I am just 27 and started my life.I was going to get married this year but know I am thinking if I should get married or not. Can some one tell me: 1. how long a person lives after being diagnosed with PF. 2. Are trials in Medical research centers helpful. 3. Anyone of you are taking trials?? 4. I am in California, do any one knows any good doctor in California, oregon or Washington. I came to know last week that I have PF and since that day every day is like a hell for me.
