Guest guest
im having such a hard time getting to sleep lately which i probably wrote before but its getting to me so bad....its not that im not tired cause i am....I SO AM!!! but i just cant get to sleep. my percocets always had this effect on me where they ''amp me up'' thats what i call it but my mind goes a mile a min (sometimes u can prob tell from my posts and im sorry) and i take cymbalta and i dont know if that adds to it...ive tried taking it at mornings and at night- same problem.....and i have been taking that melatonin my dr gave me (the natural sleep aid with b vitamins. and at first it helped me get to sleep. have amore productive sleep and wake early but wearing down. i am going to tr to take another one which i know i am allowed to do and see if that helps. i have been looking into 'natural' ways to 'detoxify' the body and didnt know if anyone had any ideas. Just cause i know the meds wreak havoc on our bodies, our system and organs. also i smoke and yes i know thats no good but i just have such a hard time even cutting down. my new yrs resolution is to try to become more health conscience and to quit smoking. Now i know i wont quit in a day but its going to be my goal for this year. I know i can do it...i just have to try. I finally got my humana card in mail but thats just for the medications and have to mail back info like my bank statements to medicaid so they can cover me in the ''gap.....i know the gap will come soon cause my cost of meds is so high but am going to see about getting on that chantix. i just want to be healthier and try to eat healthier. Im so addicted to caffeine produxts like coffee and cokes but trying to cut down on those which ive done really good with (the cokes yes but i still drink some coffee in am and then around dinner time) but i really want to try to take better vitamins and drink more tea that dennis gave me. anyone have any ideas...i can imagine that you all have some problems with sleep as well. i just hate it cause i want to sleep so bad and heck if i can cut out my nightly pain med..then i wont be able to sleep due to pain. damned if i do damned if i dont huh? lol. im going to TRY to get to sleep in a bit. thanks for being such good listeners and i know that i have all of you here in times like this. I also pray you all have a very safe and happy new year....we will be having our first new yr eve and day at our new home and for that i am so thankful Bless you all and know your are all in my thoughts today and always! --
Guest guest
, I've had insomnia since I was a teenager. Too sedentary, not enough exercise, and depression. I've been on ambien for nine years and it is the ONLY way I can get any sleep. I used to have trouble getting to sleep at night, and every once in awhile, the ambien doesn't work and I lie awake tossing and turning and SO frustrated. My psychiatrist tried to take me off the ambien, telling me that I should get sleepy from taking all of my klonopin (anti-anxiety) at bedtime. Boy, was he wrong. I gave him holy hell on my next visit about his assistant not refilling my prescription and he apologized and agreed to keep me on it. I'm sure I'm addicted to it at this point, but it's the only thing that helps me sleep. I don't think I could get along without it. I am SO cranky if I don't get a lot of sleep. Even today, I went to bed at midnight last night and I'm so sleepy I can hardly keep my eyes open. I do much better going to bed at 10:00 and I generally need at least 9-10 hours a night. I would cut out all the caffeine at night if I were you. Does smoking have anything to do with insomnia? I have no idea. All I know is the sooner you quit that the better for your health. Both my grandfathers died of cancer and I'd hate to see anything bad (or worse than what you have already!) happen to you. Good luck with your doctor. Keep us posted.
