Hi everyone,

I've failed the new 50mg Enbrel even with 10 mg mtx (body rejects any

higher dose), 5 mg Pred. and Darvocet for pain. Humira didnt work,

now my rumy says its Remicade time. I think I'm loosing it, my

Cardio just gave me a script for Zoloft, he thinks I'm in a " Pain

Cycle " , whatever that means. I'm scared. I'm depressed. My hands

have been baloons since last February and the hip pain keeps me from

having a life. I can't get a wheelchair since my hands would never

be able to push the chair. I'm sorry for the pity party but the pain

is so intense and the Darvocets don't even put a dent in the pain.

All i do is work then come home to the couch... There has to be a

better way.

Peace

Hi ,

I'm sorry that your in so much pain right now, and nothing seems to

be working. I sure do know how you feel. You might get some good

results from the Remicade, I have heard good things about it.

Taking an anti-inflammatory helps swelling also. I'm taking Lodine,

and I do notice a big difference. I have to take it 3x a day. If

the Darvocet isn't helping, have you asked for something else? I was

taking the Darvocet, and it made me sick at my stomach all the time.

Then he put me on Loratab, and it was much better.

A lot of people with chronic pain our also on meds for depression. It

will take a little bit to kick in, but it should make you feel better.

I know it's extremely difficult right now. I will keep you in my

prayers, and hope you get the right meds for you.

Take care,

Tawny

, have you tried injectable MTX? You may be able to tolerate a higher

dosage by injection.

Have you told your physician that your pain is so bad? Please do. There are

so many different ways to effectively treat pain.

Sorry that you are having such a hard time.

I'll tell you where to go!
