Guest guest
Dan says: >>If I changed my " perception, " would that turn the guns and jeans and television sets looted into immediate necessities?<< --No, crime is crime. But I've heard several people say, " Why are the looters all black? " when I've seen white looters in video clips. Who is behind that impression? New Orleans is majority black, and those who stayed home may have been those without a place to go, so the poorest of the poor would have been overrepresented. But still, there are white looters, if you bother looking for them you see them. Are people not looking, are they going by what they hear others saying rather than watching the footage long enough to see the diversity of looters? >>I lived in New Orleans for eleven years, and I think I know the score.<< --What's the score? __________________________________________________
