Guest guest
I am glad to see the progress of Crystal. Now, if she could avoid those readings over 160, that would be great! Of course it is her call. my latest a1c > > > > > > All. > > > > Got my blood work results back today and my a1c was 5.4 and I'll > take it. > > Last one was 5.3 so up by .1. > > > > > > This appointment was with my kidney doctor and I had a long talk > with him > > about health care, doctors educating patients, carb counting, and a > wealth > > of other issues. Guest guest
it might be that she needs some medication increased in the morning or afternoon, I have no clue what she takes nor when she takes it, or the best thing to do is cut back more carbs for lunch and replace those with low carb veggies like lettuce, spinich, etc. If she eats a whole sandwhich, pitch one of the slices of bread and only eat 1 slice. Guest guest
Hi , Actually, Crystal wanted me to ask if anyone had problems feeling like they were coming down from a " high " when they got their sugars down to something reasonable. Of great interest is the fact that Crystal's body is beginning to react to " high sugar " at a much, much lower number. The other day her sugar got up to 180 and she said her arm started to itch like it used to when her sugar was a whole (major whole) lot higher. When Crystal gets to move to the mid shift (9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.) I think a lot of things will level out. As it stands now she does not get a lunch break until around 8:00 P.M. most days. We eat lunch at around 12:30 P.M. before she heads out for work. This amount of time without food is causing her some level problems. Any suggestions? Since Crystal works in the Deli she is not allowed to have anything to eat or drink while she is working. This is really not a good thing at all because a lot of the people in the deli get dehydrated. They can not have a glass, cup, bottle or anything to drink from. I would say Crystal is doing much better although she feels somewhat washed out from time to time. Any comments about coming down off the sugar high? Thanks for your hints, help and support. Guest guest
Cy, It is not unusual to feel like you are going into a low blood sugar when your high BS is going down. the body is used to higher BS's and even when the person does a BS and find it , you can feel high. Tell her just wait and she wil feel better soon. Also, regarding the not being able to eat. 1. Anyone working is requrequired by law to have a lunch break and to have a 15 minute breadk. there was a lw suit a diabetic woman filed against a bank which would not let her take a break to eat. she won the law suit. the lawyers said this was discriminting against a person with a disability.normal.
