Guest guest
Dearest friends of mine, That is what I am throwing right now!!! I just found out that Willa had withdrew from the group. She got fed-up with all the bickering and couldn't take it anymore. The one thing that made her feel better was the light-heartedness, the joking, and just the up- lifting conversation. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you constantly remind yourself of how bad you feel, then you will feel bad. It's absolutly inconceivable that each and everyday someone will post some new treatment, new med, new cure. If that was all we could post to help each other, it would be months, maybe even years before there would be a new post. Just imagine coming to this site day after day and finding the same, last, post from before. Boring and dis-heartening. Now, imagine coming here and finding people, with A-fib like yourself, sharing funny stories that have happened to them, concerning their Af. Maybe they are telling of a funny story about the drs. office, or just being silly. I'm a nut at heart. I like to make people happy. My way of showing support to this group is by helping to take your minds off your illness, even for a short while. There is really nothing else I can offer. Is there anyone out there that can post a possible cure for Af everyday? No. Do you want to visit this web site and find nothing at all new to read? No. Do you want to check your E-mailbox everyday and find nothing at all? No. Do you want to come here and escape from the " real " world, even for a short time, and be with people who care about you, and know what you are going through? YES!! Thanks to Ellen, Willa is still part of the group, but only a web member. Come on you guys! If you want to bicker, use it to everyones advantage, save it for your Doctor!! Most of them deserve it!!! None of us do!! Told you I was throwing a tantrom, Bev

Guest guest
Hi Everyone: It would appear that the *bickering* that referred to has come to a halt - and I thank you. As I mentioned in a previous Post, we are nearing the 200 mark in membership. We all come from different walks of life, we are of all ages, and we live in different parts of the world. It absolutely amazes me that we hold the conflicts to a minimum and that we all get along so well - despite the number and the variety. We originally started this Group at Topica with the transferring of about 140 members and lost very few members. We are now Yahoogroups and surprisingly enough there has only been a handful of withdrawals. I personally get in touch each and every withdrawal and I know for a fact that just about all the withdrawals are doing so because they have not mastered the navigation of Yahoogroups and the numerous amounts of email are annoying to them. When I suggest to those members that we can change their preference to WEB ONLY (no email), they usually reconsider and stay with us. If thee is another navaigation problem, we correct that also. The fact that we have our original members and more has to say something about our Support Group. I see a bunch of nice people - with different personalities. You have been available to me and to many offering kindness, support, experience, and most of all knowlege of AFIB. I am travelling in that wealth of kindness, support, experience and knowledge and proud to be one of you. Each and every one of you play an important here....and again, I thank you. Ellen God Bless the small percentage of conflict > Dearest friends of mine, > > That is what I am throwing right now!!! I just found out that > Willa had withdrew from the group. Guest guest
Hi gang, I wanted you to know that I wasn't picking at anyone. Just trying to give some words of wisdom.(Use at your own risk, I have the IQ of an earthworm!) I was looking through the database at all the different people and places, remarkable. I see Ellen's from N.C., Bobby's from Ga. and is from U.K. I was curious as to how the three of you, from different places, came to work together. I assume it was from meeting at this site. I would like to hear about. NOTE TO BOBBY: I'm sorry I keep putting in for your name. I don't know why. " Virtual " slap across the face. Thanks, Bev
