Guest guest
the best thing I ever did was put a lamp on a table in the waiting room really nice atmosphere Just walking up the path to the place it looks nice inside I got my list from AAFP's book Opening A Practice or something like that. Many supply lists are available in archives of this list serve. Good luck. Be aware you don't have to have it " spa " elegant to make it comfortable. I have music on an old CD player, old chairs, nice pictures and poems on the walls and 2 cats. I set the atmosphere, not the things. I have patients " drop " in to sit in my waiting room and leave in twenty mintues after just taking a break or petting the cats, etc. To: Sent: Wednesday, December 28, 2011 7:32 AM Subject: New practice & medical opportunities 1) I am opening a holistic/integrative family practice (for consulting not primary care, although I can address primary care issues). I am trying to order as much medical and office equipment as I can before the end of 2011. I want my office (140 Sq ft) to feel more like a spa than an office and starting out, 8 want to have the basics but " nice " basics. So for example, I have a Keurig coffee pot (for coffee, tea, apple cidar etc.) And I want some comfy chairs. I need a desk etc. I have an exam table and my scale (also does body fat etc. So I can run weight loss groups etc using nutrition and lifestyle modification). I have my laptop and I am looking at all-in-one printer/copier/scanners/faxers (plan to use electronic faxing though). Does anyone have a list of what supplies they got for their office or have suggestions? Also, anyone have a " to do " list.....such as getting signed up w/you local lab, advertising, getting an EMR....I got that though)?2) For the person looking for locum tenums (spelling?).......where do you live? What is your profession....MD? What is your specialty? I am assuming you are already an IMP? What is your main job? How many hours are you looking for? Do you have a salary range (some jobs pay more than others)? Any special skills....such as suturing? I also work per diem......telemedicine!.....think outside the box. Let me know and I will see if I have ideas you.....TammyBoard Certified FNPConnected by DROID on Verizon Wireless -- MD ph fax
