Cricoarytenoiditis RA/LUPUS ENT apt.

Cricoarytenoiditis. Anyone have this as a result of their RA, lupus or other

autoimmune disorder? (masses swelling , inflammation of the voice box. larynx,

vocal cords) This can cause pulmonary obstruction... symptoms can include, pain

on swallowing/ sore throat , referred pain to ear, exudate, mucus inflammation,

lump in throat feeling, hoarseness, loss of vocal ability etc.

I went to ENT on friday , had an emergency referral by rheumy..it looks like

this might be one of the many problems I have..been referred to another ENT/

Gastro guy to rule out a problem with my Weight loss surgery as a cause, then

they have to also rule out malignancy but this is very unlikely in my case.

I also have a UTI infection..beinig treated for that before i can start

methotrexate.
