..I used them for some time, for free drugs for R.A. They supplyed me with

" Embrel " fora long time, free, until I got into the V.A.'s health network, and

didn't need them anynore,at no cost to

me. They are a wonderful program!. Their

telephone number is:1-888-436-2735

If they want to know how you got their no#, just tell them you got it from a

former client, " Ken sen. They will send you an information packet on how to

apply for their program.E-mail me back, and let me know how it works out! Good

Luck! Love, ken

Rae, I'm taking 1.2 cc of MTX weekly and about 10 mg of Prednesone. I was

doing fairly well until my kidneys started acting up and the Rheumy took me

off all anti-inflammatories. Since then I've had tremendous pain at times,

with a lot of normal RA pain that pain meds don't help sometimes. I can't

get off Prednesone by dropping 1 mg at a time. I'm doing pretty well

alternating 10 one day and 9 the next. If I can get another med going, I can

drop off Prednesone quicker, but only if I can get the meds from a free

program.

Ken, thanks for the tip. I found them on line and downloaded the forms to

fax to them. I then called my Rheumy and asked his nurse if he would write a

prescription for Enbrel before I go any further. The doc has been trying to

push me in the direction of the older meds, so I have to know. Anyhow,

Enliven Services is just a stopping place in the system. They send the

paperwork to the doc to be filled out. My nurse said they don't fill out

papers, they send them to a Patient Advocate in the hospital. She also told

me that I would receive a 3 month supply for a co-pay of $10 per. Is that

what you paid (just being nosy), or was I told wrong?

Tell me about the V.A., if you don't mind. I had no disability from my

service of 8 years in the USAF. Do I qualify for anything? I've been told I

don't get anything from them except for a maybe small interest loan. I do

need dental work done but can't afford it. Most of the teeth have to be

surgically removed because the roots grew crooked, or something like that.
