Guest guest
I am afraid to try Vicodin again. Years ago when I started having migraines at 16 I took Vicodin and other things and it just made me soooo… I’d get hysterical – laughing at everything. Then I’d be knocked out for hours. With kids I just cant do that. My husband works outside the home, so he can’t stand in for me. I even worry about taking one at night! I have anxiety (can you tell?) and what if I am needed in the middle of the night? What if there’s a fire? What if my son wakes up? What if I can’t wake up well in the morning? Well, anyway, I do need to get to bed. Thanks J R.
Guest guest
There are other pain meds you can go on. Talk to you doctor about it. I think Ultram is a good pain med that doesn't have the same effects as vicoden. RE: Hmm.. pain? To: fibromyalgia_support_group I am afraid to try Vicodin again. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
I’m just waiting on word about insurance and I’ll get a rheumy. The Nurse Practitioner at the doc’s office was more interested in pushing the Wellbutrin than believing anything is wrong so I would prefer not to go back to her until I have someone else standing behind me on this. Everything points to FM, but she just backed off and told me there was no one I should go to and nothing I could do. I actually don’t WANT meds if I can help it. I am going to get my butt to the rheumy, and then see about some things like homeopathy and acupuncture. Heck, I’ll get hypnosis if it means I can overcome pain without so many meds. I am so sensitive to them and long term use is just so damaging. My 9-yr-old son is on two very heavy medications and that’s hard. I don’t want to start if I don’t have to. R. Guest guest
I wish I could remember what it was like not to be in some degree of pain . But honestly, I can't ever remember that. Guest guest
It’s been years - and maybe even longer than I remember since my memory is shot – of feeling pretty crappy much of the time, but nothing like what’s going on now. I’ve always had aches and pains and general malaise. The last few months has been terrible and unending most of the time. It’s like having to go through early labor or maybe the flu for months J R.
