Write down everything you can remember about what happened at the exam for future reference. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
, For me having my x-rays submitted was finally what helped me get disability. I was turned down first go around. I also had a very brief exam like you after being turned down the first time. Filling out the paper work was enough to cause disability. Good Luck and as says write everthing down. Guest guest
My brother is an attorney, he told me that in medical exams for court cases, the patient can tape the appointment. I wonder if this is the case in SSI disability exams as well... would be interesting to tape that hey? Guest guest
Hi ...I had the same experience with the Disability Exam. They sent me to a Head Doctor, I had no idea until I got there, and was confused as to why they did that because it was RA that had me applying for benefits. I never did get an explanation for that, but at least I did learn that I had Adult ADD...LOL! I ended up being denied over and over again until I turned 50, at which time they promptly approved me....musta figured I was now a Senile Senior Citizen or something because I had been presenting with the same Diagnosis, and problems since I was 32. It can be a long hard fight, but hang in there eventually it will come. > > > Hey all...I havn't been on here much but I do read the posts in my > email. I just had my first " exam " for disability. Guest guest
I had the same experience! For some reason, they sent me to Dr. Scratch-N-Sniff (a P-sychiatrist from Animaniacs) for my evaluation. I was and still am puzzled with that. I finally got my SSD at the judicial review at the age of 48. Recently, I went to a new Rheumy for a second opinion and he told me I wasn't disabled! Sometimes second opinions aren't too good. Guest guest
Hey ... I have an even better one. I have a friend that lost his left leg due to diabeties, and it took him over a year to get disability. He has since lost his other leg, and they are still not sure he is disabled!!! Guest guest
Document document document. Take all exams with you or send copies.... My experience was that I was only 35 . I was rejected twice then had to go in front of the LEA. I took all of my medical records which I had also submitted. the biggest problem I faced and was told was that I was too young and too educated but i got it. Keep trying, don't miss any deadlines and submit copies of EVERY single medical report, exam , doctors notes etc. It also helps if your doctor will write his opinion.
