Guest guest
My son has spina bifida, tethered cord, and chiari. Every so often he does this " funny " thing with his throat. He does a very fast swallowing thing, almost gulping. It is like a spasm; he does it 5-6 times stops then does it again in a minut or so. I ask him what he is doing, he doesn;t know. It is involuntary. Has anyone else had this sort of thing or any ideas. Thanks Rita
Guest guest
How high is his Tether and level of Spina Bifida? If it is Lumber or lower, I would think, from what I have heard from others, that it would be more possible that this problem he is having is due to Chiari (ACM). Does your Son have Hydrocephalus and is he Shunted for it? If so, you also might want to get things checked out in that regard as well. Me Nebraska, USA mymocha@...
